What Li Auto Inc. does
A. History and Development of the Company Li Auto Inc. is a holding company with no material operations of its own. We conduct our operations primarily in China through our PRC subsidiaries and the VIEs and their subsidiaries. We were founded in April 2015 by our Founder, Mr. Xiang Li. In April 2017, we incorporated CHJ Technologies Inc. under the laws of the Cayman Islands as our offshore holding company to facilitate offshore financing. We later changed its name to Leading Ideal Inc. in April 2019 and further to Li Auto Inc. in July 2020. In May 2017, Li Auto Inc. established Leading Ideal HK Limited, formerly known as CHJ Technologies (Hong Kong) Limited, as its intermediary holding company.
